Adichie is a Nigerian novelist and short story writer. She has been
called “the most prominent” of a procession of critically acclaimed
young Anglophone authors that is succeeding in attracting a new
generation of readers to African literature.
Her stories and articles have been published in The New Yorker, Granta, The O. Henry Prize Stories, the Financial Times, and Zoetrope and also had many of her works translated to over 30 languages.
Adichie has also received several merit awards and distinctions, including the Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction in 2007, a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship in 2008 and awarded a 2011–12 fellowship by the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, Harvard University.
Excerpts from her critically acclaimed TEDx talk on why “We Should All Be Feminists,” was added by Beyonce to her song, Flawless,. The Flawless became a platinum selling single and it gave Adichie more acclaim in the world of Literature
